You can be confident that our tried and trusted approach works: our Ruth Miskin training package has been developed over 20 years. It includes ALL of the following:
Before you sign up, you’ll be invited to a remote session to hear about our programme and how to get the best value out of your investment. This is for heads and reading leaders.
This training enables headteachers and reading leaders to build an expert team using our half-termly model of assessment, practice and coaching.
We empower you to lead on the things that will make the biggest difference, so all children make speedy process.
Training days for up to 45 people.
Whole school training raises teachers’ expectations of all children. Your trainer shows you how to start teaching Read Write Inc. quickly and confidently. All staff will need to attend both training days.
For ongoing practice, you’ll find training for phonics, reading and writing activities on the Online Subscription.
Development Days are unique to Read Write Inc. They are proven to support reading teams to get every child to read. The more Development Days you book, the greater the impact. Our standard package includes two days, but you can upgrade to have more.
A Development Day is your day and is bespoke to your school. The trainer works with the reading leader, headteacher and reading teachers, focusing on children who need extra support. We gain feedback after every session, so we know how much schools value these days.

More support to grow expertise
This one-day regional training unlocks the power of Read Write Inc. tutoring – from quick keep up to long term support for children with SEND.
All children can learn to read, if we do the right things. You will come away from this training with the tools to teach children needing the most support from the start, getting every child reading.
These trainings focus on key areas of Read Write Inc. Phonics to deepen expertise and impact. Courses are at regional venues across the country:

These hour-long remote progress meetings are with the reading leader and headteacher. They support with analysing data to agree actions, organise group teaching and tutoring, and plan home reading.
Many schools book remote progress meetings two or three times a year.
