NEW: One-hour Remote Progress Meeting – online meeting
In this meeting, the RMT trainer collaborates closely with the school’s Reading Leader and the Literacy Specialist. They provide bespoke support with:
- analysing data to agree actions
- finding solutions for organising group teaching and tutoring
- tackling specific areas of concern.
One-day tutoring training, including support for pupils with SEND – face-to-face
This training unlocks the power of Read Write Inc. tutoring – from quick keep up to long-term support for pupils with SEND.
One-day Targeted Training – face-to-face
Two-hour Targeted Training – live online
Our advanced phonics trainings are either a one-day face-to-face deep dive or a two-hour online overview. Pick from:
- Build an expert team: assessment, practice and coaching
- Make a strong start in Reception
- Progress from sounds to stories: Ditties and Red Storybooks
- Getting to grips with graphemes: PSC
- Focus on fluency: Yellow, Blue and Grey Storybooks.
Two-day Read Write Inc. Phonics training – face-to-face
This training provides everything staff need to teach the programme with confidence – perfect for new group teachers or those needing a ‘refresher’.
This is only available for hubs to book for active partner schools.
One-day Talk Through Stories training – face-to-face
Developed and trialled over the last eight years, our Talk Through Stories programme extends and deepens young children’s vocabulary and love of stories. This training inspires teachers to get the most out of the programme and to get children talking!

Live online training – free of charge
We offer a unique bespoke programme for Reading Leaders and wider reading teams. In 12 sessions across the year, we share the recommended actions for that half-term.
All sessions include opportunities for practice and coaching with a trainer.

Includes ‘Making a strong start in Reception’.
One-hour Accelerate Progress in Year 1 – live online each half term
Includes ‘Spotlight on the PSC’.
