Reading over summer

Keep children loving reading over the summer break. Send books home for them to read independently and for parents to read to them. Remind parents that we have a series of bite-size informational videos designed especially for them to use when supporting their children at home – find them on our parents page and on our YouTube channel.

You can also click here to find some helpful tips on how parents can encourage reading in the holidays. For more expert advice, read this article about avoiding the “summer slump”.

Use this handy webpage to find your local library. Why not send this to parents and encourage them to take their children?
