Jerry Clay Academy, in Wakefield and Kirby Avenue Primary School, in Doncaster were among 10 schools across England chosen to host DfE funded ‘Phonics Roadshow’ events. The events aimed to share best practice in the teaching of phonics and early reading with neighbouring schools.
Both schools rapidly improved their performance in the phonics screening check after adopting Read Write Inc. Phonics.
Both events were a huge success and were attended by over 50 schools.
