Councillor Huw David, Bridgend County Borough Council Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “For a small primary school in one of the most disadvantaged areas of Wales to be making such strides is truly inspiring. The school is excelling in every area of literacy and creating classrooms full of enthusiastic young readers. Learning to love reading and writing at a young age is hugely influential to a child’s development, opening up their imaginations and creativity, and will obviously be a magnificent asset for them in their education as they get older.”
